Cherry Overdrive is an all female ROCK band from Copenhagen, Denmark. The band features Lene on guitar and lead vocals (also from the Davolinas), Jeanne on drums, Cecilia on lead guitar and Jirasol on bass and e-bow. Sharks begins the demo CD and is a building song with a cool almost surf like riff. Don’t Trash My Tale is a fast paced rock and roll number and has that raw R&R energy of early Girlschool. Lene has a very distinctive and captivating voice at times. Transparent is a dark Nick Cave like ballad song but the band really stretches it out with a cool bass solo and instrumental interactions with all members. Story Of A Girl With No Name, is a crazy song. How do you describe it? The track is built on the bass line but then just freaks out. Freak rock by girls... cool...
