Apes of Glory are a side project from the excellent Trondheim band, SEID. The band features Burt and Janis from SEID as well as Alessandro Elide (Manifest) and Hammondguru Haakon Marius Pettersen (Fuckface). The band has been around since 2003 and has played only local gigs in Norway. The CD begins with the excellent progressive space rocker, Spaceride. What a cool groove this song has and some far out vocals. I love the synthesizers on this one as well. Center of the Universe is the most SEID inspired song and has an excellent spaced out vocals and a great catchy bass-guitar line and cool synthesizers. It is a great catchy melodic heavy space rocker. Amazing stuff! Into The Mountain finished off this Demo CD and is the heaviest song on the CD. A very slow heavy metal guitar riff but the song turns into a foot stomping 70s jam session! I can’t wait to hear more from this cool band!
