No Life Orchestra is a new band from Trondheim, Norway. This is a 5 song CD-EP with some crazy music that mixes elements of ska, hardcore and psychedelia, or some of the weirdness of Primus! The members play really excellently together and have quite progressive song arrangements. Prescrewed opens the CD and is a great song featuring most of the elements described above. Opposite Lane is a hard driving song with really strange sections when the vocals are sung. Planet Drunk is a short 2 minute hardcore song. It really comes out and kicks you in the face with its aggressive vocals. Kneipscape starts with a dark slow mysterious groove but strange things are slowly mixed into the song before speeding up to hyperspeed. Cockshaped Objects is a very strange song including vocals from a schizophrenic madman. That is the end, man it goes by fast. The band has a bright future as this is very unique material and played with real dedication and power. I wish there was more than the 16 minutes of music presented here.
