Alien Heat is a Finnish band formed by singer-songwriter Teemu Elo who used to perform with Circle, Ektroverde and Office Building. I believe this is the first full length release by the band. It is a laid back music experience and very inspired by American music of the late 60s. The opening track is a commercial rock track but the second track, "Midnight Street", is very 60’s inspired and reminds me of Jefferson Airplane! Great song. "If You Feel" is a psychedelic folk song. "Blinded" is a dark folk song with an eerie organ. "Land Of The Royal Dragonflies" pick things up again and is a real 60’s inspired gem. "Like A Child" is a very laid back affair with acoustic slide guitar and male and female vocals. The CD closes with a beautiful, but slightly dark song, with flute and minimal percussion. A very enjoyable CD.
