Engine-V - "Broken World"
(Mad Prophet Records)

Uploaded to Aural Innovations: September 2005

Engine is from Greece and on the same label as Nightstalker, whom I had recently reviewed. I was turned on to the band from a good friend (Jeanett) and this is a CD that really grows on you as you hear it more and more. It is the bands second release, although they re-recorded some of the songs from the first EP here. If you like good quality stoner-fuzz rock with quality songs and great grooves and some cool laid back spaced out things, then this is for you. It sure was for me. Don't Cry For Me is an amazing song. The last two tracks on the CD show a different side of the band as well, being acoustic in nature (also some electric stuff!).
