Vágtázó Csodaszarvas - Végtelen Ázsia!
(Fono Music FA247-2)

From Aural Innovations January 2009 update

Vagtazo is back with another pretty damn cool CD. Attila is still at the helm and leading the now acoustic instrument driven music of the ancient Hungarians! He still has the energy of a young man as he belts out the potent vocals and lyrics while backed by a large band. The CD is a mixture of live and studio recordings and is of great quality. Besides new material, some of which features a lead female vocalist, there is a cover of Battle of the Huns from the VHK record, Hammering on the Gates of Nothingness (A hard to find but great record!). The tracks are all quite long with the shortest being 6 minutes. This gives the members of the band a lot of space to play their instruments and there is fiddle, hurdy gurdy, numerous drums, vocals, lute, etc… The CD comes in a very nice digipack format with a glossy 8 page booklet. Excellent stuff if you like folk music sung in Hungarian and with a real intensity about it.
