GNOD- The Somnabulist’s Tale
(Sloow Tapes)
From Aural Innovations May 2009 update
This was released in October 2008 and is a cassette release made in just 90
copies.
It is a very cool long (50min) mind journey. It starts off with a man telling
a story and a typewriter and drifts through a lot of different moods. There
is some very repetitive stuff like a mix of the Finnish band Circle and Tangerine
Dream. The band make good use of some tabla percussion as well in this quite
spaced out piece of music. I really liked it but it is very different from the
early stuff I have which the band was in a more spaced out rock format of Hawkwind
meets Sun Ra or something.. Anyway, cool stuff and if you dig this one you will
like the stuff they have done with White Hills as well.
