Jerusalem - Jerusalem
(Rockadrome ROCK014-V-2)

From Aural Innovations October 2009 update

Jerusalem was originally released in 1972 and produced by Ian Gillan. This re-release features a 20 page booklet with liner notes by the original bass player, as well as pre-album demos, alternative mixes and a non-LP single track. This has been around as a bootleg for some years but this is the first official release of this essential 70s hard rock album. They just had this cool raw and rough sound. It sounds a bit like the first Judas Priest record at times. The opening track is quite Deep Purple inspired but the rest of the songs are really pretty unique to this short lived UK band. I won’t go through all the tracks but just say that these guys have a unique down and dirty raw rock vibe and they wrote some cool songs. It just rocks… like the 70’s did... what happened??? Seems that the singer on this record and one other member are making another Jerusalem record. Interesting, perhaps…
