Gösta Berlings Saga - Debaser, Malmö, Sweden 1/17/10
From Aural Innovations April 2010 update
This was my first concert of 2010. I went over to visit Tobias (The Carpet Knights) to hear how the mixes of the latest Øresund Space Collective studio stuff was coming along. We made a lot of decisions, had a nice meal and then headed out to this free show at Debaser. GBS were on their way back home after playing the Eurosonic Festival in Holland. Not that many people here considering this was a free concert. They were the only band and the club had a terrible DJ playing mostly pop crap. The band hit the stage around 22 and would play for an hour. This was the second time I had seen them and I still think this is a super cool band. They could jam or space out a bit more but they play super instrumental songs with a lot of dynamics, feeling and intensity from all the players. I enjoyed the show a lot but wished they could have played longer. My recording came out very well. Nice night but too few of the Swedish guys I know bothered to show up on this cold and snowy night.
Set List: Sorteargatan 2+3, Kontrast, Tog du med dig Nautren?,
Fem Trappor, Bergslagen, Helgamartktz, Våsterbron 05:30, Svenska Hjärtan
