Quicksilver Messenger Service- Live at the Quarter Note Lounge July 1977
(Bear Records BEARVP114CD)

From Aural Innovations April 2010 update

Here we have another classic concert by QSM! This time with a somewhat of a reunion line-up (Gary and Dino) recorded down in New Orleans in 1977! The music industry was dealing with the arrival of punk and disco was full on but not for these guys. While the set does not feature a lot of the bands '65-'68 era Cipollina stuff, it does features a lot of great guitar and blues stuff. Dino sings Fresh Air with passion and Gary lays down some killer guitar. We do get to hear Mona and Who Do You Love, both as long jammed out versions. If you are a fan of the later era QSM records you will for sure really like this one. The band was on top for this gig.
