The Malmö, Sweden based Carpet Knights are back with their second record. This one took the band over 3 years to complete due to many difficult circumstances but the wait has been worth it. The band has progressed into a more spacey realm of progressive rock with this release. The compositions are more complex, the guitar solos often mind blowing and the overall playing is at a very high level. Like the first record, don’t expect to be blown away on first listen. The Carpet Knights are a band whose sound and songs take a while to draw you in, like a very fine whisky. The Carpet Knights are for fans of real classic 70’s rock where it was about the songs, the lyrics, and making challenging great rock numbers. Fantastic.
