Obskurkia - Burning Sea of Green
(World in Sound LC12460)

From Aural Innovations April 2010 update

The project featuring members of Dragonwyck and La Ira de Dios and others is back with their second CD. Again, the band is largely improvising but within some structures. Unlike the first record which featured several covers songs, they only take on Black Magic by Slayer this time in a quite cool version but I am not too fond of the female vocalist on this track. Mr. Burga (La Ira de Dios) does not do any singing on this record either. It features 9 tracks in 45 minutes with a great digipack artwork. The last track and title song is probably the best of the lot and I really like the powerful words and message as well in this one. Pretty damn solid and this one will grow on you as well. I might have to get this one on vinyl. This one might be better than the first release, even though it is not as heavy. I am really digging it a lot the past week.
