Soriah (with Ashkelon Sain) - Atlam
(Projekt PRO232)

From Aural Innovations April 2010 update

This CD features 11 tracks in 74 minutes and is filled with music of amazing atmosphere and it takes you on journeys into the mountains and deep forests. A lot of cool instruments are used in this project including different kinds of flutes and stuff. I have no idea what it is like Igil, Doshpuluur, and shuruti box. There is some drums and programmed drums. Ashkelon plays some guitar as well as synths. Soriah is a very special master of Tuvan throat singing and this gives the mostly instrumental music a special vibe when he does sing. Sometimes it will remind you a bit of Ole Lukkøye from St. Petersburg but less rhythmic. Anyway, I really enjoyed this CD and have thrown it on several times. Great stuff…
