Spids Nøgenhat - "En Mærkelig Kop Te" (Orpheus Records 004)

This band consists of Guf (Drummer in On Trial), Morten (Ex-guitarist and original member of On Trial) and Henrik (current guitarist in On Trial). All the music is sung in Danish which gives it an even more psychedelic feel. The title translates into On Strange Cup Tea. Guf plays all the drums, harpsichord, organ, harmonica, etc. The band cover some classic Danish 60's songs as well as a number of their own compositions. This is for sure one of the most psychedelic albums put out in 2001. The vocals are highly effected and Morten and Henrik create a totally psychedelic guitar sound between the two of them. You have never heard anything quite like this, I am sure. One of my favorite records released this year.
