Well, the Spacious Mind are back with the first release on their new label. This 10" is due out any day now. It has two long tracks, 14 minutes each. Henrik, previously one of the guitar players is now playing bass and Niklas has joined on guitar, having played with Jens in some other bands. The band have left the heavy guitars behind on this release and have gone for total psychedelic space. The layers of echoed Fender Rhoads piano and guitar and the rolling groove of the bass and drums take you away on quite a journey. Henrik's lyrics tell a personal story of the band. Incredible stuff. The Spacious Mind continue to make some of the best psychedelic music in the world. Look for more releases on their new label in 2002, including a live CD recorded in Skognås, Sweden in 1999 as well as the CD release of Garden of a Well Fed Head with bonus tracks.
