Well, this CD totally caught me off guard. Here is a guy, Kevin, who lets a strange brew of poetry spill forth in a mixture of funk, blues and jazz, but none of it performed very straight, always a strange twist or turn or sample or strange chorus. He is backed by a great set of musicians. Some of the stuff reminds me of the Peter Bohovesky CD (from the Brain Surgeons) but the lyrics are not offensive, just strange and funny. It is hard not to enjoy this CD. If you like to hear someone sing and speak about really strange stuff in a very diverse range of musical styles, then this is for you.
