KOSIK / Matt Borghi - "Tiem Parade" (self-released 2003, CD)
From Aural Innovations #24 (July 2003)
Matt Borghi and Michael Kirson-Goldapper. This is ambient with percussion and studio tricks. Some of the percussion are rhythmic patterns that appear to be looped and some of the percussion is incidental (done to support the theme). The ambient stuff seems to stay in the background. It’s actually a nice blend of rhythms and ambience and has a lot of depth.
KOSIK is the collaboration of Matt Borghi and Michael Kirson-Goldapper and appears to be more of a rhythmic slant. Matt Borghi solo, according to the bio, is more about ambient textures. The bio mentions that this was originally a Matt Borghi solo effort until Michael Kirson-Goldapper did extensive re-mixing.
