Douglas Ferguson - "No. 2" (self-released, CDR)
From Aural Innovations #24 (July 2003)
Not much to really say about this cd. It’s pretty good, mostly ambient; lots of depth and stuff happening in the background. Lots of drones and layering of drones. There is some guitars with a variety of delay times, some mixed-in percussion, and synth sounds (sustained and buzzy). There are even a few moments of orchestrated madness. Mostly, it’s just edge of consciousness.
It’s not very predictable (considering it’s ambient) and it kept my interest. I liked it, but I’m a big fan of ambient music. 8 tracks varying in length from 3 min to 14 min.
