Kyron - "Shaman Music 2: Sacred Shamanic Sex"
(Black Note Music BNM040)
From Aural Innovations #31 (June 2005)
I did not hear the first Shaman music CD but I have really liked the Trip Tech and Cortex Burn stuff released on this label, so I was quite open to hear what this was all about. The CD is split into 7 chambers (tracks) of about 10 minutes each. From the tracks you are to extract a personal journey. This is late night or early morning music to meditate or get sexually into with someone. It is quite interesting but very difficult to describe. There are strange sounds and bell like sounds and drones and buzzes, sometimes building up and moving more and more around in the soundscape. Sometimes there are some minimal beats here and there and small hammering noises. In some ways the last track is the most intense with a repeated drone. Ready for a shaman journey… very unique music for special moods.
