Another year and yes… another Rosetta West CD. I have become a great fan of Joseph Demagore's song writing and excellent interpretation of songs of old. He is nearly always backed by the same competent band that help to bring life forward in the Rosetta West music. The CD is a bit more blues based on this outing which is fine with me. The CD begins with the amazing song, "My Life". This also appeared as the first track on the IO Pan CD. I am not sure why it was redone here. Well, a great down and dirt track. "Swingtime" and "Bible Bangin' Blues" follow are excellent tracks with Joseph singing like hell! The classic blues track "Spoonful" is excellently interpreted. "Chain of Fools" is another excellent track and this leads into the amazing version of "Fuckin' With My Head" by Beck. Joseph destroys the Beck version though. Great song. "Superior" is very Led Zeppelin influenced but has a great groove of its own. The CD closes with "By My Side:. Well, this could be the best Rosetta West CD yet. I highly recommend you check this artist out.
