Råd Kjetl Senza Testa - "Vinlinden"
(Kalligrammofon #20, LP)
From Aural Innovations #41 (October 2010)
This is 250 copy vinyl release only from the North of Sweden, It features two long droning space tracks. It is hard to know exactly what instruments are used but it seems to be primarily a feedbacking drone guitar, maybe bass on the 19 minute side A track. Side B features Richard Pinhas (Heldon), who overdubbed his guitar in Paris, while the rest was recorded in Umeå. I believe Henrik from the Spacious Mind is involved (or is it Tomas?). The side B is a bit cooler and builds up in a special aural way. Here is what the band had to say about the project: ""We recorded these 2 songs in Vinliden, Lappland in a rather large, old chapel out in the woods. The songs themselves represent the past, future and present of these parts of the world and Vinliden served as an excellent inspiration to tell the musical tale of contemporary Västerbotten." There might still be copies of this one left. Check out the web site.
