White Hills - "Oddity"
(Private Release)
From Aural Innovations #41 (October 2010)
This is the CD that was pressed specifically for the White Hills Feb-March 2010 European tour. It features two tracks in over 40 mins and is pretty far out and experimental. The first track is 21 minutes and is a slow building drone that gradually gets more and more intense in the sound level and pressure. It ends very chilled out as it slowly fades away. The next section is a low fi 26 minute rehearsal room jam but a pretty damn intense one and very uptempo to start with. It is a bit like the Heads without the second guitar (less intense wall of sound) up until Dave starts to solo. It gets a bit dreamy towards the end as well. Pretty cool jam this one.
