The album has 25 tracks in total, so I won'tt go through all of them here. The first disc opens with the hallucinatory speech/effect intro ”The World's Transfiguration” that tells you right away that we’re dealing with psychedelia here. “Don’t Do It” is a rather melodic pop/rock piece, then we fly on “The Chariots of the Gods” along with acoustic guitars. “15 Years Time” is a great and atmospheric track that deals with the problems of the travellers through narrative samples. Some of the tracks are very short like the experimental “UFO Cascade”. There’s still some of that Gong styled humour left for this album as well. One of the best tracks is “Painted Stone” that starts off in an acoustic and cosmic mood but towards the end transforms into tight psych jamming. Tim is a really good guitar player!
The longest track on the album is the over eight-minute-long, really weird ”The Dolphin Lady/Sgt Shrike Food” that tells us a very interesting story. After some of the best and strangest numbers one can imagine the album also includes a couple of live tracks, ”Lie Again” and ”Orion”. Although the sound is very lo-fi, these tracks still have their place on the album I think. The album ends with the studio track ”Devil's Answer (Pop Version)” that reminds me a bit of latter day Spirit. This album makes a truly amazing whole again and comes highly recommended! At the moment the album is available for the mere price of eight pounds.
