The Rabbit's Hat - "Outsiders"
"Outsiders" is the third CD released by North East band The Rabbit's Hat and is another impressive addition to the growing Stone Premonitions catalogue. This is 68 minutes of indie psychedelia that grows on you to distraction. Interesting melodies and just enough craziness to raise the level well above the ordinary ensure that, given enough coverage, this could be a big seller.Great guitar from Tim Jones and some spectacular backing vocals from Terri B should ensure these are a great live act. The CD features 13 tracks of strong songs and clever, inventive lyrics that hint at the freedom of the 60s and the darkness of the 90s. Certainly thinking music at it's best and a release that gets better with every play. The Rabbit's Hat are a powerful six piece with a unique blend of vocals from Tim Jones and Terri B, with their different ranges really complimenting each other. They have been a well kept secret for too long. Certainly, with so much talent they must be discovered soon. Stone Premonitions is a label dedicated to indie/psychedelic/space rock and deserves your attention. The Rabbit's Hat are a band waiting to be added to your collection. Watch for the name.
