She firmly takes the lead role on this deeply satisfying 23 song CD of original material . Tim provides much of the music here accompanied by their seemingly endless roll call of top flight English sidemen.
I have many early favorites here: the unexploded tension of "Beautiful Places" and "Open Up" (both with lead guitarist Matt Black ) , the twisting and descending "Losing Contact" and trippy, "Astral Dreams". She rocks and sways, she trances, has poetic rants, there’s even pixie rock on "Hit The Nail On The Head" and "Mooncats". Her strong suit is the mid tempo, sultry, blues informed delivery that harkens back to such great UK vocalists as Julie Tippetts. The big and bold, "Love Is" sends me back to overarching 1980s chestbeating, shout outs. The difference here is that Terri pulls it off with an emotional delivery that has me yearning for more.
An extremely high standard of production is always evident from Terri and Tim and the recording quality is ferociously good. The vocals always sound smooth and rich, the music engineering outstanding and the musicianship professional caliber. This is why their various projects have been personal choices for many years.
If you are a lover of progressive music with female vocals I recommended you get in contact to check this out for yourself. I’m betting you will be captivated. I only hope we don’t have to wait this long to get the next installment.
